Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy for Luckideco

SECTION 1 – WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase something from our store, Luckideco, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, and email address. As our primary products are 3-piece bedding sets (which do not include comforter inserts), this information is essential for processing your orders and ensuring accurate delivery to your doorstep.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. This helps us optimize the user experience for our global customers.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new product arrivals, seasonal promotions, and other updates relevant to our home decor collections.

SECTION 2 – CONSENT

How do you get my consent? When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

Since Luckideco provides account registration services, by creating an account on our website https://luckideco.com, you consent to the collection and storage of your profile data to facilitate a more personalized shopping experience.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing or participation in our promotional sweepstakes, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent? If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use, or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at info@luckideco.com or by visiting our contact page at https://luckideco.com/contact.

SECTION 3 – DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service. As a business operated by Qidong Hangjin Trading Co., Ltd., we comply with all relevant legal obligations regarding data transparency and protection.

SECTION 4 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. These include payment processors, shipping carriers, and technical support tools.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

Links: When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

Google Analytics: Our store uses Google Analytics to help us learn about store visits and the pages being viewed, allowing us to better serve our global audience.

PAYMENT PROCESSING AND FRAUD PREVENTION

When you place an order, your payment is handled by third-party payment service providers rather than by us. We do not store your full card number or card security code on our own systems.

Who processes your payment. Depending on the method you choose at checkout, your payment is processed by WooPayments (operated by Automattic Inc., with card processing carried out by Stripe, Inc. and its group companies) or by PayPal. WooPayments also makes Klarna, Clearpay, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay available at checkout; if you select one of these, that provider also receives the information needed to complete your payment. Each of these providers determines its own purposes for the data it receives and operates under its own privacy notice.

What we share with them. We share only what is needed to take payment and fulfil your order: your name, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number where you have given one, the contents and value of your order, and the currency and country of the transaction.

Fraud prevention. To protect against fraudulent transactions and the unauthorised use of payment cards, WooPayments uses a fraud prevention service provided by Sift Science, Inc. (“Sift”). When you reach the cart or checkout pages, Sift loads a script that collects technical and behavioural signals from your device. These include your browser language and browser characteristics, your IP address, a randomly generated session identifier, the page being viewed, and the way you interact with the checkout form. Together these signals form a device fingerprint that Sift uses to assess the risk of the transaction. This data is collected on the cart and checkout pages only, and is not used for advertising or for marketing profiling.

Legal basis for this processing. We process your payment and order data in order to perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR and EU GDPR). We process device and behavioural data for fraud prevention on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR and EU GDPR). Those legitimate interests are the prevention of payment fraud, chargebacks and the unauthorised use of payment instruments, which protect us, our payment providers and our customers. We consider this processing to be necessary for that purpose and proportionate to it, because the data collected is technical rather than special category data, is used solely for risk assessment at the point of payment, and is not combined with marketing data.

Automated risk scoring. An order may be delayed or declined as a result of an automated risk score produced by these fraud prevention systems. If your order is declined and you believe that decision is wrong, you may contact us at info@luckideco.com and ask for it to be reviewed by a member of our team.

International transfers. Automattic Inc., Stripe, Inc. and Sift Science, Inc. are established in the United States. Where your personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area in connection with payment processing or fraud prevention, that transfer is made under an appropriate safeguard recognised by UK and EU data protection law, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or the recipient’s certification under the EU-US and UK-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long this data is kept. Payment and fraud prevention records are retained by these providers for as long as is necessary to investigate and defend against fraudulent activity and to meet their own financial and legal record-keeping obligations.

Your right to object. Because we rely on legitimate interests for fraud prevention, you have the right to object to that processing under Article 21 UK GDPR and EU GDPR. Please note that if we are unable to carry out fraud checks we may not be able to accept your order. To exercise this right, or to ask any question about this section, contact info@luckideco.com.

Further information. You can read these providers’ own privacy notices here: Stripe at stripe.com/privacy, Automattic (WooPayments) at automattic.com/privacy, PayPal at paypal.com/uk/legalhub/privacy-full, and Sift at sift.com/service-privacy-notice.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

We take part in the Google Customer Reviews programme, which invites customers to rate their experience after an order has been delivered. Taking part is voluntary and the choice is yours.

How it works. After you place an order, an opt-in panel provided by Google is shown on the order confirmation page. If you choose to opt in, Google emails you a short survey after your estimated delivery date and asks you to rate your experience of shopping with us. If you do not opt in, Google does not send you a survey.

What we share with Google. So that the opt-in panel can be displayed and, where you have opted in, the survey can be sent, the following information is provided to Google LLC: your order number, your email address, the country your order is being delivered to, and the estimated delivery date of your order. We do not share the contents of your order, your payment details or your postal address with Google for this purpose.

Legal basis for this processing. Where you opt in to receive a survey, we rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR and EU GDPR). You may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us at info@luckideco.com or by using the unsubscribe link in the survey email. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

Ratings you give. A rating you submit is used by Google to calculate an aggregated seller rating for our store, which may be shown alongside our listings in Google Search and Google Shopping. An aggregated rating does not identify you individually.

International transfers. Google LLC is established in the United States. Where your personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area in connection with this programme, that transfer is made under an appropriate safeguard recognised by UK and EU data protection law, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or the recipient’s certification under the EU-US and UK-US Data Privacy Framework.

Further information. You can read Google’s privacy notice at policies.google.com/privacy.

SECTION 5 – SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

SECTION 6 – AGE OF CONSENT (IMPORTANT)

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site. Luckideco does not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of majority without parental or guardian consent.

Our website https://luckideco.com allows users to upload text or images. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Filling out contact and inquiry forms.

  • Sending messages through our integrated live chat windows.

  • Posting product reviews or comments.

By submitting such content, you grant Qidong Hangjin Trading Co., Ltd. the right to use this information to resolve your requests and improve our services. We take precautions to ensure that any personal data shared within these communications is treated with the same level of security as your order information.

SECTION 8 – PROMOTIONS AND SWEEPSTAKES

Luckideco frequently conducts promotional activities, contests, or sweepstakes for our customers. If you choose to participate, we may collect specific information such as your name and contact details to facilitate the event. Any information collected through these activities will be used according to the specific terms of that promotion and this Privacy Policy.

SECTION 9 – CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS (GDPR AND UK GDPR)

If you are located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, data protection law gives you the following rights over the personal data we hold about you. These rights are not absolute, and in some cases we may be entitled to refuse a request. Where that happens, we will explain why.

  • Right of access (Article 15). You can ask us to confirm whether we are processing your personal data, to provide a copy of it, and to tell you how and why we use it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it.
  • Right to rectification (Article 16). You can ask us to correct personal data that is inaccurate, and to complete data that is incomplete.
  • Right to erasure, also known as the right to be forgotten (Article 17). You can ask us to delete your personal data where it is no longer necessary for the purpose we collected it, where you withdraw consent and there is no other lawful basis for keeping it, or where you have successfully objected to our processing. We may need to retain certain records, such as order and tax records, where the law requires us to.
  • Right to restrict processing (Article 18). You can ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data, for example while we verify the accuracy of data you have disputed or while we consider an objection you have raised.
  • Right to data portability (Article 20). Where we process your data by automated means on the basis of your consent or of our contract with you, you can ask to receive that data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to have it transmitted to another controller where this is technically feasible.
  • Right to object (Article 21). You can object at any time to processing we carry out on the basis of our legitimate interests, including the fraud prevention processing described above. You can also object at any time, without giving a reason, to the use of your personal data for direct marketing; if you do, we will stop using it for that purpose.
  • Right to withdraw consent (Article 7(3)). Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing we carried out before you withdrew it.
  • Rights relating to automated decision-making (Article 22). You can ask for human involvement in, and contest, a decision taken about you solely by automated means that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. This is relevant to the automated fraud scoring described in the Payment Processing and Fraud Prevention section above.

How to exercise your rights. Send your request to privacy@luckideco.com. Please tell us which right you wish to exercise and give us enough information to locate your records, such as the email address or order number you used. We may ask you for proof of identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your personal data to someone else.

How quickly we will respond. We will respond within one month of receiving your request. If your request is complex, or if you have made several requests, we may extend that period by up to two further months; we will tell you within the first month if we need to do so, and why. There is normally no charge. We may charge a reasonable fee, or decline to act, where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

Complaints. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first at privacy@luckideco.com so that we have the opportunity to put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). In the European Economic Area you may complain to the supervisory authority of the country where you live, where you work, or where you believe the issue arose.

SECTION 10 – INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Luckideco is operated by Qidong Hangjin Trading Co., Ltd., which is established in China. Several of the third-party providers described in this policy, including our payment processors and our fraud prevention provider, are established in the United States. This means that personal data we collect from customers in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area is transferred outside the UK and the EEA.

Neither China nor the United States is covered by a general adequacy decision of the UK Government or the European Commission for these transfers. The safeguards that apply depend on which recipient is involved.

Transfers to our payment and fraud prevention providers in the United States. These transfers are governed by the data processing terms we have accepted with each provider. Those terms incorporate the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914), or the provider’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, together with the International Data Transfer Addendum issued by the Information Commissioner where the transfer originates in the United Kingdom.

Transfers to our operating entity in China. We are putting Standard Contractual Clauses in place for this transfer, alongside the supplementary technical and organisational measures described below. Until those clauses are in force, we restrict this transfer to the data strictly necessary to produce and deliver your order and to provide after-sales support. We do not transfer payment credentials, and we do not transfer special category data.

In addition to those contractual safeguards, we apply supplementary technical and organisational measures to personal data that is transferred. These include encrypting personal data in transit using TLS and encrypting it at rest, restricting access to personal data to the personnel who need it in order to carry out their work, applying authentication controls to the systems on which it is held, and limiting the categories of data transferred to what is necessary for the stated purpose. We assess the law and practice of the destination country before relying on a transfer mechanism, and we keep those assessments under review.

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the safeguards we rely on for a particular transfer. Please contact privacy@luckideco.com and we will provide the relevant information, redacted where necessary to protect commercial confidentiality.
